Mac OS is quite a popular operating system, which is famous for its smooth operation, reliability and speed. But if you switch from Windows OS to Mac, at first sight it will not be clear and it will be difficult to deal with all the settings. Therefore, we have prepared a manual for you on how to set up a proxy server in MAC. Check the proxy settings to make sure that they are correct. Contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working. I configured my network and set Auto Proxy Discovery but that does not help. This is on Mac OSX 10.7.5. Would appreciate help. Our proxy backend with over nine proxy checkers and three proxy scrapes updates the proxies every second to make sure you get the best free proxy list. This free proxy list provides free socks4, socks5 and HTTP proxies and can be downloaded in a text file format (.txt) or can be directly accessed via our proxy. Our proxy list service supports all systems, including Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and iOS. You can use our API URL to get the proxy list on all systems. Windows users can use our free App to get and test the HTTP proxy lists. You can custom the output format of the proxy list using our API. Our proxy lists are updated every 30 minutes.
Set up a proxy server using Safari on Mac. Your network administrator may ask you to specify a proxy server to access the internet if your Mac connects to it through a firewall. Your administrator should tell you the type of proxy server to specify, the IP address.
First you need to open the Apple menu and select “System Preferences”.
Next, select “Network” from the list.
After that, select your Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection from the list in the right menu and click “Advanced”.
From the top menu, select “Proxies” and check the “Web proxy (HTTP)” checkbox and enter your proxy and port on the right side. If the proxy requires a login and password for authorization, enter it below.
Then switch to “Secure Web Proxy (HTTPS)” and make the same settings.
If you need to connect SOCKS Proxy, do the same thing as http and https.
Next, click “OK” and “Apply”. That’s where the settings are finished. You can open your browser and use the Internet.
